Congratulations on receiving your orders for BOLC and your first duty station!

***IMPORTANT***

If you have NOT received any information from 187th Medical Battalion within 14 days of your TRAVEL DATE to BOLC, please call Alpha Company, 187th Medical Battalion at (210)-221-6707 / (210)-221-6714 / (210)-221-6711.

To prepare for BOLC, be sure to read the BOLC Student Handbook and review all the information below. The BOLC handbook will be the most accurate information (updated 20220519). This document will provide you with reporting instructions, as well as required equipment and documents necessary to make your in-processing and time at BOLC smooth.

NOTE: The information on the AMEDD BOLC website (below) is NOT the most updated information. Again, refer to the linked BOLC Handbook (dated 20220519) for the most up to date information.

For the duration of BOLC, you will be assigned to Alpha Company, 187th Medical Battalion.

Special Notes

• You are required to report to BOLC-B with an absence request in your possession, covering the departure date from your university to the arrival date at your BOLC-B location. Follow your brigade's guidance regarding the processing of the absence request.

• You are not authorized to report early to BOLC-B.

• Movement of dependents and household goods at government expense to temporary duty station is not authorized.

• If not stationed at Fort Sam Houston as your first duty station, BOLC will be performed as a temporary duty at Fort Sam Houston, TX, and will require a DD Form 1610, which is issued separately following orders production.

• All officers must report to the Holiday Inn Express Hotel building 592 upon arrival at Fort Sam Houston between 0900-1600 hours. Point of contact for students arriving after 1600 hours can be reached at (210) 221-6711 or (210) 313-1837.

• Refer to your IPPS-A accession order for information pertaining to your first permanent duty station.
